Policy Development

Working with government and industry to shape risk and science-based regulations in Canada that enable crop protection innovation while safeguarding trade.

International Advocacy

Engaging with global regulatory and standard setting bodies (i.e. Codex), trade partners, and industry coalitions to promote risk and science-based and trade facilitative regulation of crop protection products.

Market Access Strategy

CGC coordinates the review of and adherence to the Market Acceptance of Pesticide Use Policy to provide an appropriate balance between enabling the commercialization of innovative and new crop protection products, while ensuring that Canadian exports are not exposed to unacceptable trade risk
